Haptivate Studio

Creating and saving haptic patterns on your Mac.

Explore Studio
Which version of macOS does Haptivate Studio require?

Haptivate Studio requires macOS 14 or later. You can create, edit and save projects on your Mac without connecting an iPhone.

Do I need an iPhone to feel Haptivate Studio patterns?

Yes. You need Haptivate Companion on a haptics-capable iPhone running iOS 17 or later. Keep Companion visible while your patterns play.

How can I keep an editable Haptivate Studio project?

Save Project Copy creates an editable .hapticstudio document that you can reopen and continue editing. Keep separate backups of work you want to retain.

Which formats will Haptivate Studio export?

Studio supports Apple Core Haptics patterns in AHAP format, synthesized WAV signals and Swift integration examples. WAV exports are synthesized signals, not recordings of the iPhone motor. Export access is an optional purchase.

Haptivate Companion

Exploring haptics on iPhone and connecting to Studio.

Explore Companion
Can I use Haptivate Companion without a Mac?

Yes. You can try the seconds rail, adjust its strength, compare the feel and save an editable draft on your iPhone. Standalone practice does not need a Mac, account or Bluetooth connection.

Which iPhones does Haptivate Companion support?

Companion requires iOS 17 or later and an iPhone with haptic hardware for physical feedback. A Simulator cannot produce haptics. An Apple Watch is not required or controlled.

How does Haptivate Companion connect to Studio?

Open Companion and choose Connect to Mac. Allow Bluetooth, select your iPhone in Studio and accept the request on your phone. Keep both devices nearby and Companion visible.

Why does playback stop when I leave Haptivate Companion?

Playback stops when Companion leaves the foreground or the connection ends. Return to Companion, check the connection and start playback again when you are ready.
