Haptivate Companion

Every tap, tuned.

For iPhone iOS 17 or later

Explore haptic feedback on your iPhone. Adjust the feel, save a draft or connect to Studio to try a pattern from your Mac.

The idea behind Companion

Haptic feedback is easier to understand when you can feel it. Companion puts exploration on the iPhone itself, so you can make a small change and compare the response in your hand.

What you can do

Begin with a gesture

Drag the seconds rail to explore its feedback. Standalone exploration does not need a Mac, account or Bluetooth connection.

Adjust and compare

Change the strength, compare it with the starting feel or turn feedback off. Save an editable draft locally on your phone.

Try patterns from Studio

Connect to Studio over Bluetooth to feel custom taps, sustained vibrations, rhythms and layered patterns from your Mac.

How it works

  1. Explore

    Try feedback on your iPhone.

  2. Adjust

    Change the strength and compare.

  3. Save

Keep a local draft to revisit.

Connecting to Studio is optional. When you do, keep Companion visible on your iPhone while patterns play.

Good to know

Can I use it without a Mac?

Yes. You can explore feedback, adjust its strength and save drafts on iPhone. A Mac is only needed to try patterns created in Haptivate Studio.

Which iPhones can produce feedback?

Companion requires iOS 17 or later and a haptics-capable iPhone. A Simulator cannot produce physical feedback. An Apple Watch is not required or controlled.
